Peyton is a PhD candidate in the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience at Georgetown. She graduated in 2019 from Kenyon College with a major in Neuroscience and minor in Chemistry. During this time she also conducted human EEG research examining face processing under the mentorship of Dr. Andrew Engell. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio under Dr. Kristen Hoskinson and Eric Nelson conduction MRI research with various pediatric populations.

At Georgetown, Peyton is in the Cognitive Neuroimaging Lab directed by Dr. Xiong Jiang. She is using neuroimaging to investigate the potential for overlap of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Alzheimer’s disease in later life.
