Flo is a fifth-year PhD student co-mentored by Ella Striem-Amit and Max Riesenhuber. Her dissertation work leverages functional neuroimaging and a population of individuals born without hands to try to understand the extent of generalization in action representations. Specifically, she researches whether or not our brain represents actions independent of body part and whether this representation is dependent on personal sensory and motor experience in (1) action execution and (2) action observation.
