I am interested in studying the cellular underpinnings of neurodegeneration, aging, and neuroinflammation, with a focus on the role of glial cells in these contexts. During my time at BU, I worked in the Tay Lab under Dr. Tuan Leng Tay, where I studied microglial dynamics in a model of acute neuronal injury. I traced microglia from injury onset through recovery, looking at their migratory patterns and state changes over the course of recovery. In my free time I enjoy watching and playing sports, exploring new food, and traveling.
