Summer 1 -  Enter July 1
    
Select Summer Rotation by early June
     What are the
expectations of the rotations?
    
Orientation sessions are held by IPN and Graduate School in early

 In early July fill out the
Pre-Rotation Form (this is different for the
      first rotation)

 Second Rotation (submit 2nd Pre-Rotation Form) should start

Spring 1  -  ~January 1
     Sign up for spring

     Third Rotation (

Thesis Committee and get SAC Approval

     Meeting of thesis committee (coincident with
Neurolunch talk)
             (Send email to SAC chair informing of the meeting)

     Thesis proposal (form)
     Begin planning your
first manuscript submission
     Attend
Seminar and Neurolunch

Summer/Fall/Spring 4 etc.
    
Thesis committee meets  coincident with
                                       Annual Neurolunch talk
     Expect to
submit your first manuscript before the end of your
     4th year
     Attend Seminar and Neurolunch
Completion
     1. Schedule a
Thesis Defense Seminar
              First with
Becky and Bill (for approval), then Barry (for room
               & website)

     2.
Thesis Reviewers Report is due >1 week prior to defense
         Note, at the bottom of the form it tells you to email your abstract to
        
gradacadaffrs@georgetown.edu and include your full name, title
         of your dissertation using the word DISSERTATION in the subject
         line.
     3. Get
Thesis Ballot
and Thesis Cover Sheet signed at defense
    
4.  After completing the corrections, submit thesis electronically
     5.  Now you have to turn in the ETD form (Electronic Thesis
           & Defense)
     6.  Also the
SED form (Survey of Earned Doctorates)

Note:  The Graduate School does not want YOU to turn in the Comprehensive Exam Ballot or the Thesis Ballot personally.   Make a copy and then get an official person to do it.
