Admission RequirementsAll applications for admission are reviewed individually, and admission to the program is on a competitive basis. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will have completed a bachelor's degree in a physical or life science. Also, they should have demonstrated a commitment to a career in research through an undergraduate or post-baccalaureate research experience. The Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience follows the application procedures outlined in the Graduate School Catalogue. At a minimum, application requirements include the following:

Advanced Admissions (for matriculation in 2011): Applicants who plan to begin their graduate studies in 2011 and who would like to obtain an admissions offer a year in advance, are welcome to apply for advanced admissions consideration. This process is especially suited to applicants who wish to gain full-time research experience after receiving their bachelor's degree, or who wish to spend an additional year in a current research position. PIRE ProgramStudents in the IPN can be considered for an NSF-funded training Program in Cognitive, Computational and Systems Neuroscience (PICCS), which includes training in various international partner laboratories.Check this web site for more information (www.pire-georgetown-howard.org). See also our link describing summer opportunities. Financial AidThe Neuroscience Program provides competitive stipend support and health insurance benefits for all qualified students.
